We are reviewing resumes for the following positions:

Data Analyst – Concord

 

Responsibilities

Performing a wide range of functions, in a fast paced environment, that may include developing and performing financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses.

Data analysis and interpreting the results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining; developing models using data analytic tools and programs.

Organizing and indexing documents; preparation of client reports and exhibits; preparation of binders of report support for trial.

Assisting with data gathering activities including document review, research, and quality control of data entry activities.

Support Litigation Senior Associates, Managers, Principals and Partners in all areas of case management.

Qualifications

Advanced Excel, Access and SQL knowledge; Python knowledge a plus.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, applied math or a computational science discipline.

1-3 years professional analytical experience; experience in computer science discipline and demonstrated success in applying data analytic methods, software, and systems to obtain quantitative insights from big data.

Can perform case analyses by way of damages calculations, referencing, reconciliations, research and document analysis.

Prudent problem-solving abilities where limited standardization exists.

Strong technical and analytical skills.

Strong writing skills, including writing and editing reports and memoranda.

Must be able to think independently, and work without supervision; must also be able to work in teams.

Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed.

 

Forensic Accounting and Financial Analysis Associate/Senior Associate – Greater Los Angeles Area

 

Responsibilities

Performing a wide range of functions that may include developing and performing financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses

Performing and completing in-depth research of finance, economics, statistics, and accounting issues

Developing financial models using data analytic tools and programs

Preparing detailed and complex spreadsheet and financial statement analyses

Assisting with document review and industry/company research

Assisting in the preparation and drafting of reports

Assisting, as needed, with administrative tasks related to engagement and office management

Qualifications

Relevant professional experience is helpful but not required

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, accounting, finance, or related field

Graduate degree helpful but not required

Strong academic performance in the applicant’s course of study

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Strong research and analytical skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial documents, legal documents and governmental regulations

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to think independently and work without supervision; must be able to work in teams

Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed

Advanced data analysis skills such as SQL are a plus

CPA (or CPA track) helpful but not required

 

Forensic Accounting Associate/Senior Associate – San Mateo

 

Responsibilities

• Performing and completing in-depth research of relevant accounting and auditing rules and regulations

• Developing financial models using data analytic tools and programs

• Preparing detailed and complex spreadsheet and financial statement analyses

• Assisting with document review, research, and quality control of data

• Assisting in the preparation of client and expert reports

• Assist, as needed, with administrative tasks related to engagement and office management

Qualifications

• 2+ years professional experience

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferably accounting, finance, or related field.

• Solid academic performance in their course of study

• Working knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS required

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

• Strong research and analytical skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial documents, legal documents and governmental regulations

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

• Must be able to think independently and work without supervision; must be able to work in teams

• Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed

• Advanced data analysis skills such as SQL are a plus

• CPA (or CPA track) with audit experience preferred
