Monica Ip is a Director in the Litigation and Forensic Consulting Services Group in the San Francisco office of Hemming Morse, Inc. Her litigation experience includes intellectual property, accountants’ professional liability, economic damages and other complex business disputes. She has testified as an expert witness in deposition and at trial and has worked on numerous high-profile cases such as NorthPoint v. Verizon, PeopleSoft v. Oracle, Cadence v. Avant!, the California Consumer Class Action Against Microsoft and several Enron related litigation matters. Monica has participated in the investigation of many litigation matters involving industries and products as diverse as operating systems; game, chip-design, database and enterprise software; memory chips; printers, hubs and routers; broadband services; and steel manufacturing. Prior to joining HMI, she worked for two years as an executive consultant in the San Francisco office of a major litigation consulting firm. Previously, Monica spent five years supervising and performing audit engagements for a “Big Six” accounting firm in Florida. As an auditor, she has served public and private clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, and banking. Monica is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant, and a member of numerous professional organizations. She holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Florida State University.
