D. Paul Regan is Chairman of Hemming Morse, Inc., and a Director in the Litigation and Forensic Consulting Services Group in the San Francisco office. In this role, he assists attorneys in all phases of the litigation consulting engagement. Paul has more than 35 years of experience in forensic accounting. His experience in litigation consulting covers a broad range of case issues, including construction claims, product liability, professional liability, antitrust, fraud, embezzlement, intellectual property, securities and contracts. Paul has participated in the investigation of some of the most complex litigation cases tried in the United States. These cases have involved industries as diverse as highway and power plant construction, motion pictures, high technology, software, mortgage banking, airline, the steel and automotive industries, insurance contracts, and securities. Paul has testified as an expert witness for both small entities and large publicly held companies and has appeared before various state and federal courts as well as the California Public Utilities Commission, the American Arbitration Association, and The World Court. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, a past Chair of the 28,000-member California Society of CPAs, and currently serves as a member of the council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Paul holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and an M.S. in Accounting from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
